1^ST BIRTHDAY CAKE SMASH

OUR STYLE

A Cake Smash is a perfect and classic way to celebrate and mark your baby’s 1st Birthday. Although our sessions are completely customizable based on what you and your family are looking for, our main goal is to draw all attention to your baby’s individual personality by avoiding distracting elements and keeping the session style as simple and minimalistic as possible.

SCHEDULING

Cake Smash session can be scheduled any time around your baby’s birthday. Please plan ahead and schedule at least a few weeks before if you plan a 1^st Birthday celebration party and want to use pictures from your session. Session time is scheduled a week prior your session date and depends on your little one’s nap schedule.

PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION

Pre-session consultation is included in your session. We will discuss ideas on colors and style, decor and wardrobe and how to prepare your little one to smash that cake.

WARDROBE

Our studio is full of beautiful little designer clothing and all needed props, so you needn’t bring a thing.

CAKE

Professionally baked by the local Bake My Day bakery simple vanilla naked cake is included in your package. Each cake is presented with a personalized cake topping. You are welcome to bring your own cake, just mention it at your pre-session consultation and we will replace the cake, included in your package, with a beautiful 7×10 high quality fine art print.

YOUR SESSION

Cake smash session typically lasts 30-40 minutes. At this age babies get tired and overstimulates very quickly. Based on it and our experience we recommend 2 or less outfits per session. We keep things relaxed, pretty much like a very fun play date. We’ll be singing, playing and generally just having lots of fun to capture all of your baby’s smiles and excitement on camera so you have beautiful photos to treasure. Each of our Cake Smash sessions include two guaranteed setups for a baby: timeless simple portrait setup and custom designed cake smash. Also, if your child is still willing to do a third, we do offer a last setup of your child bathing in our white vintage tub.

RETOUCHING

Professional photo retouching is included in your session. Shortly after the session you will receive a link to your online proofing gallery, where you will have a chance to choose pictures you like the most for the further artistic editing.
