NEWBORN

OUR STYLE

Our Newborn photography style is delicate, clean and minimalistic, with a natural, baby led approach, which means that we never force or deny a feeding or force any pose. This also means that all of the newborn photos that we capture will be as unique as your baby. It is important to understand that we take baby safety and comfort very seriously, it is more important than achieve a pretty pose. Not all babies are able to bend in all poses and most complicated images are composites.

SCHEDULING

Newborns are best when photographed within the first two weeks. We recommend to schedule your session in the first 7-14 days when your baby is so tiny, curly and sleepy. We do however; welcome newborns of any age, but please keep in mind that we cannot guarantee that sleepy curly poses with the older babies. We recommend booking just after your 20 week scan. When baby arrives send us a message and we then confirm the exact day and time for your newborn photos.

PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION

Pre-session consultation is included in your session to help us customize your session. We will discuss ideas on style, colors, props and outfit, so at the day of photo shoot you can relax and enjoy your experience. Once your session is booked, we will send you a Newborn Session Prep Guide with some tips to help you prepare for your Baby’s first photo session.

WARDROBE

Our studio has plenty of props for you to choose from and we like to involve you in the styling of the session. If you have a special item you would like to incorporate, we would love for you to bring it along. While beautiful images can be captured in any color and we have a full pallet of colors to choose from, Alina loves to use soft pastel colors, white, creams, gray and natural earthy tones to emphasize the delicate and tender nature of a newborn baby.

YOUR SESSION

We love keeping newborn portraits simple without overpowering them with props or unnatural posing. All newborn sessions are done at our beautiful studio. We offer a classic newborn portraits on a beanbag only. At the moment we do not offer any other prop setups, like boxes, bowls or beds. Also our studio has a comfortable private rest area to unswathe and feed your baby before and during the session, we also have a nursing pillow, bottle warmer and changing table stocked with all the necessary baby products for your convenience.

RETOUCHING

Professional photo retouching is included in your newborn session. Shortly after the session you will receive a link to your online proofing gallery, where you will have a chance to choose pictures you like the most for the further artistic editing. While we focus on creating a realistic natural look, we consider all your wishes to achieve the look you desire.
